Red

Shades & hues
pale to deep,
tender, tawdry,
like blushing cheeks,
vermilion-clad
firelight glittering,
scarlet embers
against the night,
warming, arousing
velvet petals
fluttering alight
richly rose
precious fluid
drops of life
vibrant crimson
carmine skies of morn,
days forsaking,
titian gloaming
roseate sands, rusty clay,

nature’s palette rouge.

Beautiful. You have a wonderful flow set deep within your style and you've chosen words that are 1. not too common and yet 2. used often enough in today's world that anyone can picture them. It really adds a lot to the mental imagery. I like it. :)

By the way, I'm notorious for leaving grotesquely long comments. :)

About This Blog

The name for this blog was inspired by a quote by Nietzsche, below.

"Dancing in all its forms cannot be excluded from the curriculum of all noble education; dancing with the feet, with ideas, with words, and, need I add that one must also be able to dance with the pen?" ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

I plan on this being the start of an incredible journey of discovery and creativity. I invite you to bring your pen, and come dance with me!
