Sea Glass

Remnants
of some forgotten thing
shards tumbled by turbulence
colored
in shades of sea and sky
washed upon the shore.
Reborn
in oceanic waters
sharp edges smoothed through struggle
fragility
strengthened to stone
patterned by lapse of time.
Plucked
from the sands and rolled
like dice within my hands
prickly
remembrance of who I once was
before finding myself a round peg.

Loved this poem. Wonderful analogy between "the forgotten thing's" sea changes and your own transformation.
universal truth - facing the dawning moment you realise something entirely has shifted.
